Eclectic Technolabs is exclusively hiring for this Production Manager role on behalf of our client — a well-established food manufacturing company with over 9+ years average employee association and a legacy of serving quality foods across Tamil Nadu.

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the entire food manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and compliance with safety standards while managing 2 shifts across the production line. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to optimize processes to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand.
  • Monitor production KPIs and implement improvements.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and optimize production capacity.
  • Manage and oversee daily production activities during two shifts.
  • Ensure production schedules, raw material usage and targets are met efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve any operational issues to prevent delays.

2. Quality & Compliance Management

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP).
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain product quality.
  • Collaborate with the Management, Ordering & Admin teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Own Daily, Weekly & Monthly Compliance for hygiene, safety, sanitation & maintenance.

3. Team Management & Training

  • Lead and manage production supervisors and floor staff.
  • Develop and optimize the current R&R for production employees.
  • Assign tasks to workers and monitor performance.
  • Train and develop team members to improve productivity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

4. Equipment & Maintenance Oversight

  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of machinery.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize breakdowns.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs.

5. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels.
  • Work with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Optimize costs by reducing wastage and improving efficiency.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare production reports, efficiency analysis, and cost reports.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, procurement, logistics).
  • Enhance the reporting efficiency from Supervisors to Production Management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in food manufacturing or production management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO). Proven leadership and team management skills. Experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and automation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, Tally, or ERP systems (preferred).

Remuneration & Benefits:
• PF & ESI
• Monthly CTC: ₹40,000 – ₹75,000
• Yearly Bonus of ₹30,000 – ₹60,000 (based on performance)
