Production Shift Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)

Eclectic Technolabs is exclusively hiring for this Production Supervisor role on behalf of our client — a well-established food manufacturing company with 9+ years average employee tenure and a legacy of delivering quality food products across Tamil Nadu.
Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated Production Shift Supervisors to manage and oversee production activities on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in food production, team leadership, and strict adherence to quality and food safety protocols. This role requires ensuring seamless production operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and collaborating across departments to meet production targets.
Core Responsibilities
1. Shift Operations & Production Oversight
- Direct and supervise daily production activities during assigned shifts.
- Ensure production schedules, raw material consumption, and output targets are accomplished efficiently.
- Delegate tasks to workers and track individual and team performance.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to prevent production delays.
2. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
- Enforce rigorous compliance with food safety regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP).
- Monitor product quality consistently and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Conduct regular hygiene and safety inspections on the production floor.
3. Team Leadership & Skill Development
- Lead shift staff, fostering coordination, collaboration, and accountability.
- Train workers on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety practices.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to company policies and code of conduct.
4. Equipment Management & Safety Protocols
- Ensure smooth machinery operation and promptly report maintenance requirements.
- Enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace incidents and injuries.
- Train employees on proper machine usage and safe handling practices.
5. Inventory Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor raw material usage and proactively report shortages to avoid disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime incidents, and shift summaries.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely material availability.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: 3+ years in food production or food quality assurance roles.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of food safety standards including HACCP, FSSAI, and GMP.
- Soft Skills: Ability to lead teams effectively and handle workforce with empathy and authority.
Available Shifts:
Morning: 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits:
• PF & ESI coverage
• Monthly CTC: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000
• Annual Bonus: ₹12,000 (performance-based)
• Overtime (OT) additional compensation
